Better Textbooks
for Teachers & Students

We are so glad that we found this math curriculum. My child loves it.
Summit Math allows students to work at their own pace which allows me the opportunity to provide individualized attention to those who need it. The collaborative nature of the curriculum has students speaking the language of math while sharing ideas with their classmates.
Learn at school.
Summit Math gives teachers flexibility to switch between full-class and 1-on-1 guidance, supporting a collaborative classroom where students can learn at different paces.
Learn at home.
Made to support self-paced learning, Summit Math textbooks work well for homeschooling families. For only $9/month, students can get direct instruction from step-by-step videos.
Our daughter can go at her pace, use the videos if she is struggling, check her answers as she goes. We help when asked but it is nice to have so many options for her to succeed on her own.
I had two boys who experienced the Summit Math program. They both said, “This is the best way to learn math.”

Meet the Author
Alex Joujan, M.S.Ed
Alex has been helping kids learn for 20+ years. Since 2011, he has been at The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, NJ, and received 2 teaching awards. In 2013, he started writing textbooks to help students learn at different paces. In 2017, he founded Summit Math, named to reflect that learning is like hiking. Though hiking requires effort and persistence, people can move at different paces and still reach the summit. Similarly, Summit Math books are designed to guide students toward mastery at different paces.
Born in Mukinge, Zambia, Alex moved to Chattanooga, TN at age 5 after his father died in a car accident. Grateful for the many people who guided him through his childhood, his decision to pursue a teaching career was partially motivated by the impact of his teachers.
In 2005, Alex graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Mathematics degree from Muhlenberg College, where he also volunteered weekly for 4 years at an after-school tutoring program. He received three awards for community service and the Muhlenberg College Goodwill Prize for his significant community impact. In 2006, he earned an M.S. Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and a five-year Teaching Fellowship from the Knowles Teacher Initiative, becoming a Knowles Senior Fellow in 2011.
When he is not writing, Alex enjoys traveling with his family and being active outdoors.
